The Oscilloscope Probe Type M-12X1 is a miniature X1 passive probe intended for use with a wide range of oscilloscopes. These probes were manufactured to the highest specification in England for use in the military workshops and have a NATO Stock Number Z4-6625-99-726-2877. The probes modular construction facilitates simple field replacement of the major parts (see dismantling section below). The probe is supplied Brand New with a complete range of accessories.

Dismantling Instructions

Dismantling the probe is a service operation only, DO NOT attempt to dismantle the probe whilst it is still connected to a voltage source.

1) The earth lead may be removed by gripping the earth ring (5) and sliding it towards the measuring tip.
2) The probe head (4) may be removed by holding the cable connector (3) and unscrewing the head in a counter clockwise direction when viewed from the measuring tip.
3) The measuring tip (6) may be removed by unscrewing it in a counter-clockwise direction.
4) The terminating box (1) may be removed together with its shroud (2) by holding the cable connector (3) and unscrewing the box in a counter-clockwise direction when viewed from the BNC connector.
5) Assembly of the probe is carried out in the reverse order making sure that all connections are tight.
